Our Providers

 

John Witte, MD

Dr. Witte received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in 1989. He has been practicing gastroenterology in Boise since 1989. He and his wife Melody have three children. Dr. Witte enjoys spending time with his family, tennis, hiking and cycling in his spare time.

 

Richard Uhlmann, MD

Dr. Uhlmann received his medical degree from the University of Chicago and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Oregon. He went to the University of Washington to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology. He was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar and associate professor of medicine at the University of Washington before moving to Boise in 1992. Doctor Uhlmann is married and has three children.

 

Mark Lloyd, MD

Dr. Lloyd received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio and completed an internal medicine residency at the Ohio State University. He went to the University of Wisconsin to complete his fellowships in gastroenterology and nutrition. He remained on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin, where he was active in research and served as an associate professor of medicine and director of the Gastroenterology Training Program, through 1996. Dr. Lloyd enjoys music, hiking and exploring Idaho with his wife Pat. They have one child.

 

Paul Baehr, MD

Dr. Baehr received his medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan. He went to the University of Washington for his gastroenterology fellowship which he completed iin 1994. Dr. Baehr came to Boise in 1994 as staff gastroenterologist at the Boise Veterans Hospital. He joined IGA in 1999. He and his wife Margie have two children. His hobbies include sailing and skiing.

 

Dave Wood, MD

Dr. Wood received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin. He went to the University of Wisconsin and completed his gastroenterology fellowship in 1999. He joined IGA in 1999. Dr. Wood is an avid skier, and enjoys cycling and hiking.

 

Ellen Hunter, MD

Dr. Hunter received her medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and completed an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for her gastroenterology fellowship. From 1989 to 2000 she was on faculty as an assistant professor of medicine and surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she participated in clinical research studies. She joined IGA in 2001. Her area of interest is liver disease including viral hepatitis and liver transplantation. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

 

Judith Woods, MD

Dr. Woods received her medical degree from the University of Texas-Galveston and completed an internal medicine residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center. Subsequently she practice several years as a general internist.  She went to Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas to complete a gastroenterology fellowship.  After completing her Air Force commitment, she was a practicing gastroenterologist in Nampa, Idaho with several years in solo practice.  She joined IGA in 2000.  She is married with 2 adult children and one slightly neurotic but lovable golden retriever.  She enjoys her grandson, cooking, reading murder mysteries, gardening and working the daily crossword puzzle (in ink!).

Phil Jensen, MD

Dr. Jensen received his medical degree from Texas Tech University in 1988.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, Davis.  He was in private practice in Walla Walla, Washington from 1995 until 2003, when he joined Idaho Gastroenterology.  He and his wife, Diane have 3 children.  Dr. Jensen enjoys classical music, hiking, and ice hockey.

 

Bonnie Kim Waite, MD

Dr. Waite received her medical degree from the University of Washington and completed an internal medicine residency at Internal Medicine, Spokane in 2000.  She joined Idaho Gastroenterology Associates in the fall of 2003, after finishing a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin.  Dr. Waite enjoys skiing, reading, and hiking with her dogs.

 

Chad Morse, MD

Dr. Morse received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona. He went to Brown University for his gastroenterology fellowship. He joined IGA in 2007. He and his wife enjoy the outdoor offerings of the Boise area, including skiing, hiking, snow-shoeing, and water sports. He also enjoys diving, gadgets, reading and spending time with his two dogs.

Matt Sericati, MD

Dr Sericati recieved his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado-Denver.  He joined Idaho Gastroenterology Associates in the fall of 2009 after completing his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Colorado-Denver.  He and his wife Stacy have one child.  His hobbies include skiing, biking, golfing, softball and flying. 

Jennifer Gooding, NP-C

Ms. Gooding obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Washington. Sh earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University. She is a certified Family Nurse Practioner with the AANP. She has received several other certifications including Oncology Nursing and End-of-Life Nursing Education. She has worked in a variety of settings including Oncology, Rehabilitation medicine, education and now Gastroenterology. She enjoys hiking in the foothills, spending time with her son and daughter, exploring beaches , gardening, and cooking.
